    Huge Chinook runs in California

Biggest runs in decades...contrast this with BCs imploding Chinook runs....Nope,not ‘climate change’ but SHEER DEGLECT by the DFO....the so called ‘wild salmon’ initiative was just an EXCUSE to do nothing ,while California recognised the challenge and responded by putting more fish in the system, not rocket science, ..and it paid off,in spades..

ive lived in multiple provinces and never have I witnessed such terrible management of all fish and wildlife in all aspects. Especially in relation to letting development absolutely shit all over vital habitat be it water or land.

Its disgusting and a well kept secret unless you actually move here. Beautiful BC is not quite as beautiful as they make it out to be.

When it comes to fish and wild life, the US does a great job .

Off of Port Renfrew we have been hammering the Columbians (US) fish in July and early August. It used to go nuts mid August for resident fish returning but not lately. The Americans definetly have done better fish hatcheries and management.

Yup, that pretty much sums it all up and couldn't agree more!

    Don't get too excited.
We had a huge sockeye run in 2010 and nothing major much since.

One good run doesn't make it a pattern.

I have no idea what you're talking about. It's the fisheries equivalent of the Robertson-Pittman Act for wildlife
