in my mind, calling someone my "hunting partner" is the highest compliment I can give...I have very high personal standards when it comes to who I want shooting in the woods near me...I am a chronic optimist and almost always happy ......not into "wet blankets" when in any kind of tough situations. maybe try going on a summer scouting trip to get a feel for their bush sense at least

Personally, I would set up a "meet & greet", (if financially possible). Would be less stressful and give you a chance to do a face-to-face and ask questions.

He’s probably a member here. This is kinda like someone talking about a tinder date, and wondering how they can ditch them if they get catfished.
