Just curious if anyone knows the present condition of the Firth Lake access rd in 7-16? Was pretty hairy couple years ago and wanting to see if it has gotten better or worse.
Thanks in advance.

I was up there last year and it was really grown in and washed away. With a few hours of trimming you may be able to get down there but it would be a lot of work. You can get to junkers lake. Lots of guys in that area, didn’t see much for moose. Doesn’t mean you can’t find one though. We got two near cat lake. Seen a few moose in the cat lake hambone area. Nice rec site at cat lake also. Good luck.
watch your camp ! there was reports of some "locals" that were burning down camps there while guys were out hunting last fall

Make sure ya got chains, if ya get rain or snow that hill can be a bitch! Take a fishing rod, both Firth and Junkers can be good but always be on the lookout, lots of bitchy griz around there! K
