From a group hunt 1972 north of Germansen Landing.
This was the biggest of the group fighting. We(3) could have shot 2 more but our plan was 1 moose per hunt in general.
LT gave the moose antlers away & are now in Italy.
This was the biggest moose by far that we ever shot!

North of Gang -right after a fresh snowfall -7 moose -photo by LT.
We saw a few more on that trip but none of us had tags.

Lots of disappointed hunters this year due to unsuccessful LEH applications. Two years in a row our group of eight has got zero draws; that's 0 for 48 with three applications per hunter. Low odds on a third of them, but still...Back in the 80's and into the mid 2000's we used to get two moose draws every year. In 2006, we had three moose draws and on the last day of the trip two of the group passed up this bull because we already had two hanging on the racks. Not up for driving an extra day each way to chase some GOS spike/fork. More hunters, fewer animals, fewer allocations??? Feel sorry for the younger guys and new hunters. Oh well, looking forward to a few trips looking for a nice buck.
