Probably not the first times he’s used this technique.

Talk about hunting in a park, too close to the road, hunting out of season and not legal age

Shows what kind of advantage a human made road can give them, espicially when the prey is away from its natural escape habitat.

    Of course they do.
But it just shows that they hunt more than Moose.

But than again, Park animals aren't normal.
Most areas I spot small herds of Eve's and Lamb's are fairly high up on a mountain for the most part where wolves tend not to go very often.

What was interesting is to show how long a wolf will put on the chase (and that was nothing compared to what they will do, but more than most
preds will put the time/effort into)

In the area we hunt, we seldom hear wolves or see if sign too far from roads, and weve done a fair amount of backpacking to hunt backcountry areas inside huntable BC Parks. I have no doubt wolves have learned to use road systems to their advantage. Especially when road system parallel creeks and rivers.

Wouldnt you think the guy with the camera would have given that woof a little "nudge" with the car?

That location is just a few meters from "fairly high up".
That herd is notorious for being visible from the road on a hill just up the highway a few more yards.

Besides salt and green ditch feed, the road attracts sheep as the people tend to keep the wolves laying low.
Well, the presence of people Used to keep the wolves away, not any more.
    Watch out Little Red.

What was most interesting to me was how the little ram went catatonic at the first touch of the wolf, and remained scared stiff till the end.
