I did catch fish on the lumpy leaches on the odd occasion though.
LOL , that made me laugh. (actually snorted some coffee thru the nose!.....ouch)

I am thinking 26" but always hard in a photo.
Regardless, it makes me want to get out there again ASAP.
Last year at Sheridan I had one that I couldn't get in the net! and I was able to net three 7lbs before it.
Had 25' of leader/tippet and the leader knot got hung up in the rod guide at the tip while trying to hand grab it.
Went for another run, and "fling" of he got. (actually broke the hook!, not the fly off the line etc)

Now I have UV resin on all those leader knots before the main line.
Make the resin oval shaped over the knots and cure.
Now they slide right thru the guides no problem.

My buddy actually got a tape on that one before I let him go but I caught one the next day solo that was a bit bigger. Probably around 26”. Small un-named lake I found has been producing. Yet to see anyone else there
