Way to go! Great story and pictures to boot... a little suspense there with the lack of blood. Even if you know it was a pretty good shot, it doesn't mean it's going to be easy to find without a good trail. Being a mentor is next-level stuff too. I recently found that unless you have hunted with someone hundreds of times and you are totally in sync (and even then once in a while) it isn't possible to control every little thing such as movements or especially someone else's excitement / emotions. You did a heck of a good job and made it a success. Congratulations to you both!

That photo of him and the bear in the bush is awesome. Good job.

Look around is there someone you can introduce to shooting because that’s the only way we will buck the anti gun trend sweeping Canada! "tigrr 2006"

Well done - congrats on that successful hunt.

You took this guy to the butcher - can I ask what you had processed and what weight of meat did you get back? I'm always curious on the meat yield from a bear because I just can't seem to accurately field judge them regarding weight.

Also, a question for the members, what age would you say that bear is based on the pictures provided. 4 year old? Looks a little to filled out to me to be a 3-year old.
