    Dog whistles?

How many of you guys have trained your dog with a whistle? If so, what whistle works for you?

I bought a Fox 40 whistle and have trained my GSP pretty well with recall, but the thing is so loud I feel like my ears are going to burn off. Im looking for something quieter, but effective.

I have heard many UK dog/hunting trainers use the Acme gun dog whistle 210.5 or 211.5. Anyone have experience with them here?

For Spaniels I use the "Genuine Buffalo Horn

For retrievers its the Old stand by Acme

Have two whistles, just in case your pea freezes or gets stuck.

(about $12).

Three short tweets in succession for recall, one tweet for "Whoa!". Some do two tweets for over (directional change to left or right) but I prefer to point with my hand/arm.

I have a 211.5 and switched a couple weeks ago from a Fox 40. Hated how loud the Fox was in my ears.

The Acme works great so far.
