Wow, what a day for seeing game.

Went fishing yesterday and had to take the side x side to where we were going. Started out with a small group of whitetails grazing in a field.
Next was an Osprey with a huge fish in his talons, took many circles before he could gain any altitude, he was fishing a small river.
Then a nice sized black bear.
Got to the lake and watched a bald eagle, couple of more Osprey and a pair of loons. I was fishing with a red wedding ring set up and got the biggest hit but no fish and moments later the loon surfaced close by so I think it grabbed my lure. Switched to cronnies and got some nice trout which we released.
Heading back we saw a coyote, a group of 10-15 mulie does and then not far from the cabin a cow moose with last years calf. It was a stellar day.

I'd guess two weeks too early for Merritt area ? Nice snow Saturday morning. Cold nights and not alot of green up yet. It'll come quick with some hot days though

There are no fish, no deer and no Ospreys or Loons in 8-5.
I'm sitting here in our 8-5 cabin, nothing moving.
Ignore pictures of huge Lake Trout being caught and deer running crazy.
    Trust me.

The lakes haven't "turned over yet"...correct? (bit early)

I wish I could figure out how to attach a picture of the trout my Son and his buddy caught in a local Lake a week or so ago.
Ice off, "turnover" or not, it was huge.
