Depends on what you want to hunt on your property.
Depends on what you want to hunt on your property.
Lots of hunting properties in BC, cheap too.
Something to think about when looking at property is wildlife migration. My family picked up some recreational property in the Princeton area. I was all excited about hunting the deer all over the property, but soon discovered that as of late September all the deer migrated out of the area to their winter ranges. Still a great place to camp and quad, but the deer situation was disappointing. Just because the wildlife are there while you are looking at it doesn't mean that they will be there come hunting season.
depends how much money you have and what you want to hunt..
big investment for say 1 mule deer a year.
I've thought about this long and hard and determined that I am way too migratory a hunter to have a single place I want to hunt all the time. Things change so much now too, with limited seasons. Plus if you have a dwelling on it, you have to worry about that. A friend has a cabin up the Deadman River valley. He goes up once a year and spends most of the time fixing the place up.
I know years ago, it made sense to buy a place up in Lake Country when there was GOS for moose in region 5, but now with most of the province on moose LEH, that doesn't make sense. For me anyway, fishing leaves me cold.
walks with deer and gbrown001 above also make good points.

Hard to suggest anything based on the very limited info provided.
Does he want bare acreage just to hunt on, a small lot in the middle of a decent area for hunting, intend on living there, putting up a cabin, any services such as power, water, internet needed?
Accessible year 'round?
How much do you want to spend?
Will you commute there - if so how far do you want to drive and how often will you do it?
