Avoid twist lock...I have a pair of BD and they collapse when you put weight on them.
Im looking at the Black Diamond Alpine Carbon Cork.
They have a new flicklock design with a hex key for adjustments. Pretty much top of the line I think.
Sounds like they will work well and last. And lightweight.
I’ve got Black Diamond and they are very robust
I won't always be young, but I can be immature forever
Black Diamond here as well. Weren’t cheap, but they aren’t cheap.....saved my butt big time when I have a full pack

Thanks for all the input guys!
My knees appreciate it.
I like my twist lock poles from le valley tools. they don't unlock on me an they have the shock absorbing spring things and they are long enough for tall folk and they were about $30 ea. of course that was a few rears ago . . . just let google be your friend. I have put lotsa miles on mine and find them to be very good. Alternatively, I also bought one of the Cabela's shooting monopods. it is also rigged to work a walking stick as well. I like it even more because it really does work in terms of stabilizing an off hand shot - fun to practice with at the range with rimfires! Good luck and best wishes, jsd
