That's cheap. What are the locks like?
That is my main concern being a bigger guy.

Myself and my hunting partner have both broke a pair of these. Now we use high end MSR trekking poles and they never let us down. 179$ a pair. You get what you pay for! Buy once cry once.

Avoid twist lock...I have a pair of BD and they collapse when you put weight on them.

Im looking at the Black Diamond Alpine Carbon Cork.
They have a new flicklock design with a hex key for adjustments. Pretty much top of the line I think.
Sounds like they will work well and last. And lightweight.

I like my twist lock poles from le valley tools. they don't unlock on me an they have the shock absorbing spring things and they are long enough for tall folk and they were about $30 ea. of course that was a few rears ago . . . just let google be your friend. I have put lotsa miles on mine and find them to be very good. Alternatively, I also bought one of the Cabela's shooting monopods. it is also rigged to work a walking stick as well. I like it even more because it really does work in terms of stabilizing an off hand shot - fun to practice with at the range with rimfires! Good luck and best wishes, jsd
