I'm curious about how much distance bears cover in a day? How big would their area be before the rut of course when they are off looking for a sow.

The big ****s seem to be walking poop machines. Knowing they are darn hungry and needing a lot of water right now, it shouldn't be too hard to find one once you find fresh scat but I found some fresh scat the other day that I believe is from a bear I've been trying to catch-up with the last couple years and I searched high and low yesterday for more scat but had no luck. It seems the fatties take the easiest route and I can't imagine them spending more energy than necessary right now. Anyone know about how far they wander day to day?
