Tonight I got a private message from a member here, (who will remain nameless unless they want to chime in).
It seems that there are still good people in this world, and I am extremely grateful for it.
Through a series of events my bow was offered for sale in a parking lot at a good deal. After seeing bow stolen post and buying the bow for a rockbottom price, a member contacted me and said they thought they had my bow.
They made sure that I could identify it before giving me any more info on where to find them so they wouldnt be scammed. After a possitive Id they gave me their address and I met them at their house later in the eve. I tried very hard to give them the cash they paid for it, plus more. They refused any money for it but i eventually convinced them to take some. Less then what they paid for it.
They said that they were just happy that they were able to return it to the rightfull owner. After talking a bit and swapping some hunting stories I was on my way home with probably the only personal property that means more to me then just about anything else I own. (the stories and memories I have experienced with this bow sometimes feel like my only slim grip on life outside of work and responsibilities of life)
So a HUGE THANKYOU! You know who you are.
Cheers
Allan
