can you drive Harrison east fsr to shovel creek all the way up to nahatlatch. And how much 4x4 does that require. Is the road shit or is it drivable by a 4x4 suv. Thank you. Just exploring other places. Never been this way before.

Did it about 20 years ago.
Did it half a dozen years ago on an ATV. Kookoopi creek was a bit tight in places with some wash outs. If I remember correctly it looked like some blocks were being laid out so the road is probably passable by most vehicles now. Some beautiful country through there.
Did it all in 2wd in a stock F350 with Mud terrains
Road was washed out late last fall
We did it in my Tundra with our 2, 10 year old kids last summer as a first time adventure.
First night camped at the springs, 2nd night camped up Nahatlatch near Grizzly falls, hit the lookout on the way out.
A few minor washouts just past the middle point towards the Nahatlatch side. No issue tho.

Its drivable but probably not right now. There may be too much snow higher up to get thru the kookipi
Thanks for the intel. Will head up in spring hill summer fall
My riding buddies and I try to be the first two wheelers through the pass every year.
As a rule of thumb, if you are in the lml, look up at Cypress. If there is no snow on the ski slope, the Kookipi pass is usually clear and it is an easy ride.
