Vandals hit hatchery

I see vandals hit a hatchery in Powel river and turned off the water killing 700,000 Chinook smolts...what sort of idiot does this? As it pure vandalism or some wacko idea about somehow helping ‘wild’ salmon by killing hatchery fish? I remember a similar incident when they tried to ‘free’ a young orca that had been rescued by cutting the net,resulting in the young orca drowning...

Could be any number of reasons ,none of them justifiable.Amazing what people can justify in the name of a ‘cause’ was he facts are we need more chinooks in the system and that means a combination of hatchery,stream enhancement, preditors control and limiting FN net fishing in rivers ( I have no big problem with a sustinenace fishery but am adamantly opposed to selling fish )

Some ass hat probably thinks the hatchery is the same as a fish farm..... hope they get caught and punished, but I doubt it’ll happen. Need to taken out back with a four foot length of rubber hose
