    I am currently shooting a Nikon Coolpix P900 bridge camera. These photos were handheld at distances between 15-40 metres.

    I ain't a sheep expert by any means but I would say that ram is at least 10. I believe his 2nd year ring would be broomed.

    Interesting I have 2 Cali and the CO mentioned some are easy to tell the age and both mine are but this old brute is not so easy I am also guessing 10 but could be 11

    Rams around here and Spences grow very large lamb tips. 6" inches some times. The local bio has only seen one ram that has broomed off his second year ( the horn looked more broken then broomed).

    The ram in question has only broomed off his lamb tip. 8 countable rings and the missing lamb ring make this ram 9 years old.

    Old ram for the area. Not sure why but I have never seen a 10 year plus ram locally even with the mild winters and living in town.
