    Looking for hunting partner (merritt/okanagan)

I'm 37, new to hunting. Looking for someone to scout/hunt and learn from. I'm a carpenter, easy to get along with, no glaring vices, good moral compass, drama free. I'll be hunting crown land around merritt next year but am open to other areas.

Down wind is correct. Do yourself and your loved ones a favour and get an inreach and just get out there solo. You never have to compromise on what you want to do or how you want to hunt.

Hey Big Chris, I’m in West Kelowna, second year hunting and don’t know any serious hunters. I’m big on safety, have a young family and a wife that is encouraging me to not always be out on my own. I’ve been doing a fair bit of scouting east of the 97c. Pm me if your post is still relevant.

i actually just moved to hope and made friends with a couple local guys that I’m gonna hunt with. Much easier meeting other hunters open to it here than in the okanagan for some reason. Don’t know why.

    "Drama free"
    Straight out of Tinder.

Hunting is full of drama, that's why I do it.

    No glaring vices.
So you don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs.
    What do you do then?

There are no serious hunters in Kelowna.

Strongly disagree, yes I am a newbie but have met a few of the old boys in town.
And some names that demand respect... Gerhard Blenk (also a german :P) who owned Blaser for quite some time.
Also holds a World Record for the largest sheep taken in Kazakhstan.
Hans Schroth another die hard old timer just to name a few.

Unfortunately all they can offer at this point are amazing stories, tons of advice, great recipes
but no boots on the ground and I believe that is what Big Chris and I are after.
Someone that we can be in the field with and learn hands on.
