So busy with the fires I only got out once this summer, took 18 fish. Giving them a break

PB in the Okanagan is just under 28lbs. If you come to the okanagan I can put you on 15lb+ fish all day, although with a tenkara rod I would need your promise to keep your hands to yourself and leave the Cher in your truck. This homie likes the women-folk.

I promise to leave my the Cher in the car but I cant promise how excited you might get when I start extending my rod. It takes both hands.
Anyways joking aside that would be cool for sure, will have to message you closer to spring and maybe get some intel.

Anyone have an an approximate time in the carp spawning timeline. Downhere usualy late May early June I’d imagine maybe a little later up there

When I lived I mission my Romanian friend loved eating his carp. He would stock up each spring in and around dewdney slough. They would be thick in there during the spring runoff. Had a few meals with him pretty good eating.

Ya pretty tasty. Had success smoking them. A good brine and seasoning with a few hour hot smoke. Pretty tasty. Will be cooking the next couple from the okanagan up.

how do you get around all those little bones? Do you just eat them by hand? I am guessing that with smoking them you might?

Hell ya, I would be freezing, grinding and the cooking them up with rice and vegi's for my dog.

Although his gas has been spectacular whenever he gets through some ground up trout heads.
