On Nov-21st around noon I noticed a lot of deer activity on the side of the road and decided to go for a mid day walk. Immediately I found a lot of rubs along a game trail which lead to several large scrapes, at this time I knew I had found a bucks bedroom and decided to try calling him in. I Rattled and grunted followed by a few doe bleats and 5 min later a mature buck showed up with ears laid back and clearly coming in to defend his territory, no doubt he was a shooter. As I turned to get a shot he picked off my movement and started to run back up the hill he had come from so I quickly grabbed my rattle bag and smashed it together and then let the bag fall to the ground, it worked in my favor as the buck stopped dead offering me only a neck shot, with a good rest I took the shot and down he went. Not having any luck posting pics if someone could point me in the right direction.
