I had taken a hiatus from blacktail hunting and spent my free time in region 3. With that tag filled I have dabbled in some new areas here in region 2.You see, my “honey hole” dried up a couple seasons ago and after hiking more days than I can count I wasn’t able to find the SOB’s
until today.
With time off work this week I decided around 9am to head up and investigate an area close to the old zone but far enough away that it was new to me. As soon as I punched my way in to the timber I breathed a sigh of relief because the sign was pretty darn good-here is how the area looked.
Continued on up to the top where an old cut was, popped up over a bluff to get a good look and saw a couple bucks standing about 75 yards away, took what appeared to be the slightly bigger boy.
