With 150lb packs (meat and gear) it was terrible to need to rest...but you were sooo wet with sweat and the sub zero temps that you'd freeze your ass off...your only defence was to stand back up and keep moving. Good memories with good friends though.

Yes, that pack out was brutal at times...just one foot in front of the other. Sure was happy to see that truck!

Great story and bull Ken. I know what it's like getting back into that thick WK country. Many times I have stopped and wondered "what the heck am I doing all the way back here!?" but getting deep into the backcountry offers some incredible rewards.
