    Too bad I didn't take a proper pic of the tail... Anyway, whatever it is, thank you for your help gentlemen.

    love the dark brown rack...I have only had one...it was from loon lake area ...nice dark antlers like that..... love the split in the middle only...cool

    last pic shows the tail and OP mentions the lack of white rump

    Never seen a mule deer without a white rump in BC or Alberta myself and never been to Saskatchewan. Seen enough strange animals I won’t say it’s impossible

    We will just have to agree to disagree on this one

    Here is as good a shot of a real mainland BT butt as you will get. VERY different than a mulie.

    Mule for sure. You can just see the edge of the white rump in one of the pics.
