    Bacon Wrapped Whitetail Medallions (Backstrap):

Served up with Asiago & Cracked Pepper Rice, and Turnips with Carrots steamed in white wine & butter:

Sure love our whitetails around here!

There is little more comforting on an unexpectedly snowy night than a steaming hot bowl of whitetail chili!

Linguini with home made pasta sauce, whitetail meatballs, shredded cheddar and cheesy garlic toast:

Complimented very well by a rather fine French Merlot.

Have to love it when the first Sweet Corn of the year rolls in!
Matched that with some Prime Alberta Beefsteak, and airfried taters:

A Shiraz this time was the perfect compliment.

Had a huge free range buzzard the other night.
Way too much for us, so the leftovers went into a great chicken stew.
    Six quarts thereof that is:

Wonderful grits on a cold, wet & windy eve.

And a decent stash for more of the same down the road...
