    I had heard that as well. But since their season is so short and we only have access for that brief period, figured it did not present much in the way of risk...

    When we first moved here, I foraged a few different kinds from the local forest.
    The risk involved here was that none were palatable! Gross in fact!

    So now I stick with the tried and true store bought (Quality Foods).
    Consistent quality & flavor.

    This was the first time I mixed garlic scapes with them.
    Turned out even better than expected, and we WILL be trying again!
