I have the outdoor edge version, find the blades are sturdier.
Have both of the havalon models, plus all the blades that come with it, backed with a fixed blade.
A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check
Made payable for an amount of 'up to
and including my life'. That is Honor, and there are way too many people
in This country who no longer understand it.'
You only walk this Earth once,
make sure your tracks are deep.
Wouldn't leave home without it. I have the bigger one and little one. Run gut hook and bone saw on the big one and little rounded blades on the little .. does everything from gut to skin and butcher !
lots of nice capes have extra bullets holes in the face from guys practicing with the scalpel blades
Gerber has a good system for changing blades easy but their handle is too long
Outdoor edge Razor Pro is a good unit, blunt end blade is good for de-boning rib meat
But I will probably stick to my Cub Bear Caper
Never say whoa in the middle of a mud hole
what model you guys think is the best for skinning?
I have the Piranta...and an Outdoor Edge razor lite...they complement each other very nicely. My old hunting knives just ride around on my belt and get used in the camp kitchen.
Hmmm bought one 8 years ago on a trip to Alberta..bought a whack of extra blades..still have 25 extra blades for my trip to Alberta next week..
However as stated..it IS a scalpel..go easy..be careful. .
No prying, minimal lateral pressure..
I pack a caping knife..a camp knife d2..gets abused.proper Marty Beets skinner..crucible steel..and the Piranta..as with everything else the Edge blades $$$$$$
