I am not sure either ? I have never seen a wild hog . Just seems to look like it was dumped in that spot . I have seen domestic pigs with wooly coats before
My first comment I might have seemed to be a smart ass but I was moreless asking if it was maybe a domestic pig . I know if I shot a wild one the skull with those tusks would be kept by myself .
That’s is the head of a mature domesticated boar that’s gone feral.
Most likely a cross between Large White, Landrace and Duroc to get a shape and color like that.
I think boar meat is prob the most unappealing flavor of anything I have ever tried. Tasty is not a word I’d use to describe a boar.
Wild pigs or (or more correctly, domestic pigs gone feral) are great at transmitting disease to local and domestic pig production.
I hope that if that was indeed a Feral pig that the shooter of it removes them all.
My opinion is based on the tens of thousands of pigs I’ve raised
What? No head souse ?
what a waste
Never say whoa in the middle of a mud hole
I tend to disagree about the flavour. I have eaten wild boar many times in Europe and have always found it delicious.
X2...
first impression
Nice one! A pig can be as hairless and pink as a baby's butt, but if it's on crown land and not in control by a farmer, it's dinner!
Clear alcohols are for rich women on diets...
Definitely Feral, not a true wild boar.
Have hunted wild boar in Germany, and been successful both times.
They are most definitely "tasty".
Would love to hunt them here (but they are super destructive on the landscape/habitat)
