Broken Buss Cable, Do I need to replace the string as well????

First time I ever broke a cable or string on any compound bow, but one of the Buss cables parted on me tonight. Looks like the loop let go where it fastened to the cam stud. Shitty because my island elk hunt starts in a couple weeks. I would have rather any other piece of gear failed then my bow, but better than the night before the hunts starts I guess..

Anyhow, I'm hoping to get in into a shop tomorrow and get new cables made.

Will I need to get a new string as well? I'm hoping I can leave the string that is on it as is.

Don't really want to mess with setting my kisser, nock point or string loop. They are all set just where my bow shoots best and where muscle memory well established.

Richard at Bucky's Sports made me a set of new cables. We did a few test shots in his shop after work, checked with paper tune and I am good to go. Was practicing again by 6pm. Pretty awesome, 2 day turnaround

Old school customer service from a local shop.
    Can't thank Richard enough.
