    Degreaser for euro mount

Shot a big 4 pt on day 2 of rifle season and looking to do a euro mount. Been a while since I did one. What goes in the boiling pot with the head? Is it dish soap or something better?

Just use a little blue dawn myself; works well. Congrats on the buck!

Ya I agree a little bit of dawn and some baking soda and you'll be good to go.

I like Oxy Clean and don't forget to just simmer, don't boil.

Congrats on the Buck, Any pictures of the buck?

    Cheers

This! Worked great for me. Have done one with Dawn and another with Oxy. Oxy came out better

    White dawn works well (clear)

Doesnt get much better than Acetone for serious grease

Little dish soap. After it’s boiled and cleaned soak in white gas. Then dry then bleach if you like

I mix up a big pot of warm water and just mix up sunlight or any other dish soap. Put the cleaned, post boil skull in there to sit for a few days. Recharge the soap with a fresh splooge and mix to bubbles daily. The soap will draw the fat out of the bone. Works great and never had a skull go yellow using this method. See my avatar.

Peroxide works the best for whitening.

you never use bleach , it weakens the bone leading to it becoming crumbly over time .
