    Youth Success Continued

Opening weekend you all read about 3 youths getting a triple header on opening day. This is a continuation of that story.

My daughter Morgan has a dear friend Alora. Also 16 and we have been taking her into the mountains with us for 2 years. Exploring and shooting. She was with us when my daughter got a buck last year. That hunting bug bit her hard

Well she finally did her core with my youngest 2 kids and got her own FWID and hunting license. Her parents dont hunt and are not fond of firearms at all. This was a big win for us and her mom has been very supportive of her interest in hunting and shooting despite her anti firearm views.

Friday night we left and got to the cabin late. Knew we would be up at 4 30am so off to bed for her very first deer hunt. Sat morning was quite the day. She got her first grouse, rabbit and deer.

I would tell you the story but I just copy and pasted her own words from FB so you can all hear it from her directly. Here it is

Guess who got their first buck yesterday morning??!! It’s meeee!!!!
I am so beyond happy and excited for this experience and it warms my heart that Morgan and David brought me into this wonderful world I’ve learned to love. Getting out of the house and exploring the mountains and getting fresh air is amazing!
Thank you David for all the support you gave me this weekend. You told me if I wasn’t comfortable making a shot I shouldn’t so when I couldn’t make a shot on the second buck we saw I didn’t feel awful about it. Also thank you for just ‘taking a peek’ over the ledge of what we now call ‘Satan’s pit’ because of the long haul back up to the truck. Without you I wouldn’t have gotten this experience.
Also thank you to other David (Steeleco) for helping gut the deer and haul it up the mountain, couldn’t have done it without you 😊
154 Yard shot downhill at 07:15am. I got it a little far back but for the distance and it being my first shot at big game, I was told I did a pretty good job. He was a big boy and glad I waited for him.
I couldn’t have asked for a better trip

Great job again David squared. Doing a great job perpetuating the sport. Sure do have nice bucks in Clearwater!
Cody: It's a pretty cool sidearm you got there. What is it?
Four Leaf Tayback: I don't know what it's called. I just know the sound it makes when it takes a man's life.

    Marvin Boggs

Frank, I never thought I'd say this again. I'm getting the pig!
Frank, we gotta get rid of this broad. I know a great place up the road. Lots of alligators.

Marvin: If there's one thing I know, it's women and covert operations.
    Frank: Marvin, that's two things.
Han Cho Bai: No, grasshopper. It is not.
