    Sikanni Chief

    Our group is thinking on going up into the Skanni area for the first time and just wanted to know if its as busy as the ag zone with hunters and oil/ gas?
    Also any one been into the Tommy Lakes area is it still active fire

    Not as busy, but a bit less predictable; make sure you know if there is huntable land in the area you are going to. A little further south the Blueberry FN is in the process of negotiating a change in their land claim, so be aware of that between Wonowon and Pink Mtn. I think that there are significantly fewer elk around up there too though, from what I understand of the ag zone.

    And be aware of the fact that the roads aren't built for us- there is a fair amount of heavy industrial traffic rolling around back in the woods.

    Quad in, get out and hike over a couple hills off the beaten track and you will find game. There are some great elk and whitetails as well as moose in some areas. Awesome country in there.
