First bowhunt - where to go?

I'm gearing up for my first bowhunting outing this weekend, and having a really hard time finding a location that has good potential for 'non-fishy' bear and is within about 2-3hr driving distance from the Lower Mainland. Any help in directing me to a potentially productive area would be greatly appreciated! ...of course not asking for anyone's honey holes ! Any thoughts?

Get up high. Find berries, find Bear. Also a possibility of getting into a real nice deer that hasn't been spooked by firearms yet. Close to LM, I'd suggest east Harrison. Get back at least 30k and then hit the roads that head east towards Fraser Canyon.
Huntin, fishin, and lovin every day.

Thanks plumberjustin, your advice is much appreciated! I'll pack light and head up to the high country.
