Ive come across many cow moose carcass's taken by FN in my old hunting grounds and they generally dont leave more than the gut-pile,they like the nose/backstraps and other pieces that have been left on the moose in that pic which leads me to think that was not FN but opportunistic poachers

Yup typical wolf kill. They only like the quarters and leave the rest of the critter behind. Wish those wolves had better ethics.
look at the hide....sure looks to have been cut. I've never seen 4 legged predators cut a hide in such a manner.
I think the suggestion could be..roadkill, then taken somewhere and cut up, obviously done by 2 legs
