Focus on learning the native deer blacktail, whitetail and mule deer Fallow deer and pigs are a long shot

Join your local rod & gun and get to know others and you will stand a good chance meeting a mentor. Don’t hesitate to go out on your own because time in the bush is the best teacher

Good luck and if you have direct? Post them good chance someone will have info for you

    Welcome,

As Others have said, just get out there. Noticed you didn’t mention grouse?
They’re awesome as a first hunting experience especially if your going out solo.

They can be challenging, easy to clean/ pack out ( bring a couple zip lock bags and an ice pack or two)

Just walk old logging roads, ideally areas that transition from old growth to willows or alders. If the road is gravel all the better.

And wile your out, look for deer sign and try to figure out the deer once your area
