Binoculars. Then some boots.
Save the rest, get out scouting and see what you need from there.

I assume you already got at Truck now go out and buy yourself a Camper, beats a Tent any day.
Myself I been using 10-40 Zeiss Binoculars for the better part of 40 years, excellent but pricey and nowadays there are Binos out there much much cheaper and perhaps just as good.
Its usually the Hunter with less Gear which gets the Game, keep it simple.

If I had $5000 budget to spend on hunting gear I'd be doing something like this :
Savage 110 Apex Storm w/ Vortex 3-9x40 Crossfire, 7mm Rem Mag $900
Talley Lightweight scope rings $70
Federal Premium 160gr Accubond ammo, 5 boxes $300
Vortex Viper HD 8x42 Binoculars $680
Outdoor Edge Razor knife $90
Mystery Ranch Metcalf $685
Kenetrek boots or similar quality $500
Bushnell Nitro 1800 rangefinder $460
Garmin 66i w/ inReach $800
ArmyTek headlamp $75
That's $4500. I'd look for some good used Sitka, Kuiu or First Lite jacket and pants. If $5000 budget didn't include rifle/scope, I'd A) get a nicer rifle and scope and B) more budget for clothing. Base layers and rain wear are important
