    Re: mounting winch

I've seen a few set ups where the winch is mounted on top of a roll bar in the back of the truck. It works great for hauling critters into the back, but that's it!

I have known of guys that have a sliding rear cab window and they put a brace through the open truck windows with winch centered and then it will pull the animal up and in using a makeshift ramp.

    Re: mounting winch

Try using a steel bar with 90 degree beds at the ends so it will slide into the two pickup box holes (those holes on the top of your box sides, I'm not sure what to call them??). Mount the winch in the middle of the bar and you'll be good to go. Just remove the bar when you're done for safe keeping.
