It's worth the drive to the Cariboo. I just got back from Sheridan and the fishing was pretty good. The fish are in shallow now on the caddis hatch and it should be good for a while. Tons of other small lakes to check out up and down hwy 24. I'd get an outboard though. Big lakes.

I've had a couple people tell me about the caddis hatch this time of year. That's certainly tempting me towards exploring a few lakes in the Cariboo region.

I do need an outboard. I'm just waiting to for a 9.9hp in good shape to pop up at a reasonable price (sub $1000...). Hoping to have one for next season
