    Family Bear Hunt

Not much of a story. I have been crazy busy with work and Saturday was the first night I was able to get out for bears this year. Loaded the family and a young buck we know (excuse the pentagon, didn't want to post his pict without permission) and headed out for the evening. Parked the truck, walked about about 200m glassed a lower cut block, took a few steps and looked again. This fella was feeding at 150y. I didn't have to think to long about this one, nice looking boar, with a beautiful chocolate hide. We literally hunted 5 minutes.

Meat is destine for smokies, pepperoni and hams. I wasn't going to tan another hide, but this one is too nice to throw away.

Nice Bear! I want to do the same with my son.

Do you tan the hide yourself or hire someone? If so, who?

Don’t you hate it when the hunts over in less than 5 minuets! Congratulations on a nice looking bear, definitely a hide to keep. Great to see all the smiles. Keep up the good work.

Lol congrats for making it sound so easy. I think I should just start casually hunting mid May. I was just about to post up a whole 10 minute video "production" compiled from multiple trips as a how-to video... geez now I'm just going to shorten it down to 30 seconds and say go for a drive with and watch a cut with Rhyno !!! Congrats, heck of a bear there

I always wait until the first week or two of May to start bear hunting. This is my last bear.

5'7" nose to tail and we got just under 60lb of meat, not a giant by any means but we are happy.
