    Daughter first bear

    So my daughter Renee spotted her bear about a thousand yards away on a different road, we took a few minutes to make a game plan to make the stock. So we put the plan in Motion and drove the truck to the being of the other road and started the hike in. The wind was not in our favor at all so we made a big loop and ended up coming up on him with the wind in our favor now, we were able to locate him on the edge of the swampy area he was grazing on, with the wind in our favor and the bear only 50 yards are way we had all the time we needed. I got Renee set up on the shooting sticks and told her to shoot once she has a clean shot, two seconds later her .308 savage rang and the bear leaped forwards 10 yards and lied there dead �� super proud of her.

    Hmmmm CONGRAULATIONS..father and daughter well done indeed..really nice to see a young lady hunt..then roll up her sleeves with the gutting skinning...and work..impressive upbringing.
    Great plan on getting closer and by the looks..in the boiler room....shes a shooter too

    Thanks, I found those straps at a junk sale (garage sale) 4 for $5, I jump on them. Handy little tool.
