how to attach gun to pack, any ideas

just wondering what people use to hold there gun in place when hiking, just a sling would swing around , but I need it to be accessible quickly, I'm sure there are many ideas out there and a few products to buy.

Kifaru makes a handy system, it took some adjusting and getting use to, but now I hardly notice the rifle there. One thing I don't like about it tho, when hiking uphill and someone is in front of me, I have to be aware of where my barrel is pointing. It's actually a pretty easy diy setup.

Hooked over the corner of your external pack frame works fine, if you want your rifle at the ready. Other than that maybe an eberlestock internal scabbard type setup?

I've done that but find that my rifle bangs and rattles agains the frame. Any way around that?

Look up the Safari Sling. Truly a perfect product. Bought ours at Cabelas for approx $30? Your rifle is in front of you, simply lift and aim.

Just got a kifaru gun bearer. Looks like a pretty sweet rig.

Another vote for the gun bearer. Easy to set up but does take a bit of getting used to. Wouldn't be without one now.
