    Rifle Caddy

Anybody have one of these units. Was wondering about the use of the console as an armrest after its installed. I think to get your rifle out of the truck you will have to point the barrel at your passenger or passengers?

I use one and love it as for using the console as an armrest it depends on the width of the console, you should measure yours and see how much extra room (side to side) you will have, it can be installed in such a way that the passenger has no armrest room to give the driver more. As far as pointing the rifle at your passenger it can be removed from the unit without pointing the rifle at them, but of course your rifle would be unloaded.

I have one and really like it. Only complaint is that you have to add some sort of foam to protect the finish of your rifle where it comes into contact. I’m pretty sure in my 2016 f250 I can use the armrest still.
i rest mine with barrels forward so you won’t sweet your partner.

I had one of these in a previous vehicle - https://www.cabelas.com/product/shoo...6.uts?slotId=2

It was nice going to/from a location but I didnt like my gun being strapped in while rolling into a prime spot, so now I am back to just layin out with the butt on the floor and the barrel pointed into the back resting on my armrest.
