Horrible incident to hear about. Condolences and losing a dog that quickly and unexpected is a scary thing.

I have the same collar for my dog. Rarely wears it around the house (only when out on walks, etc) but appreciate you posting about it. I haven't had any issues obviously but thanks for taking the time to post your experience about the collar.

I’ve had this happen to my dogs. It almost killed her. Thank god I manage to flip them around and get it off. Scary shit.(metal choke collars) It’s happend to my parents twice. The one time my dad ended up in the river because they fell off the bank tangled like that and dad went in to save them.
    It’s actually really common
So sorry to here this. We eventually lost one of our dogs to a car accident. It was painful for a long time. I no longer feel sad but remember the fun times and she now brings a smile to my face.
I sure miss my jersey dog cuddles.

Hardest part is Max was special more so than any other animal I have ever associated with he was happy and filled with sunshine and love would have died protecting me what is eating me up the most is I wasn't able to protect him.

I'm so sorry to hear this. What a heart wrenching thing to happen. I recently heard a similar experience from someone else; their young dog passed away as well. My condolences to you and your family.

I’m so sorry. That is heartbreaking. Your poor son, it would break my kids hearts to lose their dog. Thank-you for posting the warning about the collars.
