I have a small garmin and a backroad sd card but I'd like to carry less stuff. Since new stuff comes out all the time, is there anything good out there for iPhone similar to the backroad map book stuff for BC?

I’ve heard Gaia (I think that’s the name) is alright. I just use the hunt buddy app most of the time tbh.
I use Gaia on my iPhone, It works great.
I use IhuntBC and IhuntSask on an iphone.
basically google earth that shows exactly where you are. Very useful in the backcountry. A gamechanger for skidooing
I use Gaia, have for probably 5-6-7 years. I got it when it was $5 and included all the stuff you have to pay extra for now. I guess it's all grandfathered in for me.
inwoidlnt use anything else. I have 3 gps's that I've now forgotten where and the inreach is for nothing other than messages.
InReach and smartphone using any of the above listed apps. Just cache your maps before you get out of service.

Backcountry Navigator is another good one
on an 7" tablet you get the real picture

Thanks guys I will look into the suggested options. I have the cheaper version of huntbuddy and have wondered about the mapping part.
Try BRMB works good for me

Ive got gaia, ive used it a little , but still use my garmin as my #1 gps. I found with gaia that it drains my phone battery like mad! Ive never used it for more than a day trip because of that battery drain
