    Question Hunting/Hiking Gear

    What’re some of the nifty tricks or wicked gear that you have used during an overnight in the bush - a hunting trip or even just a day hike that you would recommend

    Gaiters are a game changer.
    Both the leg ones to keep water and crap out of your boots, and the neck ones. I dig my first lite neck gaiter.
    The only thing I like as much as trucks, is guns.

    Jet boil. Nothing like a hot beverage or warm food to boost the mood if you happen to get cold or it's miserable out. Also, a great excuse to take a break mid way.

    String is always handy, as is good raingear and a compass, and knowing how to use it.....

    Headlamp extra battries ...green garbage bag is easy to pack down and can come in real handy.

    Instead of paracord, I use blind cord, like the stuff for cheap accordion blinds. It's 1.5mm I think, and it's STRONG.

    I use and agree with all the above posts except but out tool,( have never used one )
    i would add good hiking poles
