I recently bought a spotting scope and now I am shopping for a good tripod that will support my scope. What is everyone using? What do you recommend?
thanks.

price range? use? (truck/back pack, ect) height requirements? (stand/sit/both), size of spotter?
I use a monfroto 290 light with the befree live fluid video head and its great!
Monfroto o58 with tri bubble head, a little on the heavy side but depends what you are gonna use it for???
I'm mostly a backpack hunter/bird watcher. My spotter is a vortex diamondback 20-60x60 (straight). It weighs in at 33 oz. I would like the option to both sit and stand. Price in around the $100-250 range, I guess.
I have a optex t-15 now but it's not steady enough.
I really like my Vortex Summit SS tripod, been using it since 2012

I use a promaster XC525 it is popular with the sheep hunting crowd i have nothing bad to say about it.Weighs 2lbs 7oz with a slik SBH-120DQ ball head very well built. I have also been looking at this at 8oz but might be a little light for your spotter l

Use the Ultrec carbon fibre sticks and they work well. Quick change accessories are nice as it allows a change from spotter to shooting rest to camera tripod in seconds.

I’ve got a slik mini 2. Seems pretty good, but admittedly my spotter is quite light.
When in doubt, just pin it.
There are is a 60inch one I just bought for spotting scopes and binocular tripod. Its got a ton of good reviews and it seems really well built as well as light. It’s sold on amazon ca as AmazonBasics 60-Inch Lightweight Tripod with Bag.
I’m super impressed with how well built it is and it’s cheap too!
Lord let me come home bloody, not my own.
