    There was no clear division between hosted or professional hunts last I looked at the particulars.
    Been a couple I'll admit, guess I'd best have another boo...

    EDIT TO ADD: It has indeed changed. Dating myself once again I guess.
    Used to be some time ago if we had a GOS, they could apply (at least on paper).
    Never did hear of anyone getting one though.
    Did hear of several turned down...

    Regardless, I still think it quite valid to chat with the local office in the area of interest as a precaution...

    You could apply for any region you wanted, but unless that area was available to non-res of course you wouldn't get it. The lady I talked to said it was a common misinterpretation. For sure call, they are quite helpful.
    The only advantage to a light rifle is it's weight, all other advantages go to the heavier rifle..
