Thanks for the heads up on an awesome deal Nog! Might have to go get one. A question I have for you is how many shots will a stock string usually last on one of these rigs? Thanks.

    Sorry - No Idea.
I've never shot mine with a stock string.
It had Custom Boo Strings waiting for it when it landed, and has never been without since.

Might be a good question for the Excalibur Forum...

Okay, thanks for the quick reply Nog. I'll try to find out if anyone knows on that forum.

Store flyer says final clearance. So I went in to look at a 380 and one sales rep said that it's not on clearance, it's just on sale.

So I went to look it up on the Excalibur site and the 380 was listed under "past models".

Does anyone know if the Matrix 380 is being discontinued or what the deal is? Thanks in advance!

    The 380 is being discontinued.
    Replaced by the Bulldog series.
Excalibur will of course continue to carry all parts and honor their warranty.

    Bit of a mistake IMO.
The 380 is perhaps the best bow they have ever come up with.
I am indeed considering collecting up a second before they disappear...

Thanks for sharing your knowledge about the future of the 380 Nog. While I was looking at the 380, the sales rep did show me the Bulldog version that he said was basically the same. I think he was trying to sell me one because they were out of stock on the 380's at the time I was in last weekend.

I agree with you in thinking that I liked the 380 much better than the Bulldog. Might be a good idea to grab another if you like it that much before they sell out.

Thanks again for the heads up on the sale price of the 380, your endless knowledge of Excalibur crossbows, and good luck trying to decide if you're gonna grab a "mate" for your existing 380!
