Hmmm seems lots of areas with good bull to cow ratios, but poor calf to cow ratios....the cows are getting bred but something his happening to the calves.....i think Proguide66 is onto something....

would be interesting to know the level of effort/survey intensity and actual count numbers...not just percentages. If extrapolating from a small sample size would br easy to be misleading. A 50% increase based on a small sample size in each of the sample years doesn't necessarily mean numbers are healthy in that area. Hopefully the counts were indeed representative.
