Are the belt pouches worth getting a pair of?
depends if you carry stuff on your belt? LIke camera, or inreach etc. The webbing keepers are worth getting in my opinion. The straps are pretty long on these packs and its nice to have them tidy. I dunno if you've ever been whipped in the eye with a pack strap from the wind, buts it not very fun.

LOL x2 .... getting whipped in the eyeball with that sh*t hurts!

I carry a wind checker, small camera, gps, ammo pouch, rangefinder and probably a couple of other small items I'm forgetting but yeah, you run out of pockets quickly. I think a couple of hip belt pockets would be very helpful.

I have one on mine and I'll be getting another too.

Also, I think the load cell is a bit pricey for what it is. It's also not waterproof as it says it allows the meat to "drain on the pack out" .... not sure about you but I don't want the meat draining down my butt on the way out.

I just use two 20L dry bags from MEC. They're $20 a piece and work fine for me. Wash out well as soon as you're done and they don't have any smell to them afterwards.

Forgot to get back to this thread.

I tried out the new frame and looked at all the shiny bags.
Not too much to report on the frame. It's lighter because they got rid of some extra fabric and it's shaped slightly different. There was no noticeable difference in feel while standing in the booth with them on for a minute or so. For the weight savings I would personally stick with the Xcurve, but I'm not super concerned with shaving every possible ounce.
On the bag front I am still thinking of going with the 7900. I just like to have more room personally.

Never really looked at them before to be honest. Interesting looking bag and frame though.

My all time favorite pack would probably be the kifaru frame, with a stone glacier bag. Now if those companies would join forces there would be some awesome packs out there!

I use the Seek outside revolution works very well for me.Only pack so far that does not slip down the hips and a bonus the pack material is waterproof.
