larger gun safes

i currently have two sentry 18 gun safes and am in the market to upgrade to a 35-40 gun safe. it must fit through a standard door and its ground level . price point is 2k

i did some shopping at the usual suspects: cabelas, bass pro, and vancouver safes in coquitlam.


anyone have a line on larger safes ? vancouver safes doesnt advertise price but they do have good delivery and install prices.

Can't help you with a model but some things to think about

-I'd say fire and smash and grab are you biggest threats, if the burglars could take all day or a weekend to go through your house I don't think many safes could stop them
-actual fire rating has it got a UL rating?
-all locking bolts operational?
- door jam construction, thickness, and hinges
-door metal construction and thickness
- usually those says say they will hold more than in reality

the house is alarmed to the nines monitered, motion and perimiter so smash and grab is under a minute. and i have 2 big dogs so for the most part im happy

second, ive gone through all fire ratings and most are 45 minutes minimum and if the fire department doesn't show up in that time then ill deal with insurance.


most are similar security level at that price point.

I have a Liberty gunsafe, Picked up from Corlane's in Dawson creek.
